We are very pleased with BHFC and the coaching staff is great! Our son has grown in skills and ability with such good team support. The parents have been so helpful to eachother. I hope others will be looking into this rewarding experience!.

First, my son enjoys soccer. Beyond that, the main reason for me to have Ian in BFC is the quality of the coaches. I see them all as dedicated, fair, concerned and relaxed with the children, and teaching love of the sport along with the skills. Moreover, I see them as good role models as people. The qualities extending throughout the coaching group I have encountered really shine through to me and impressed me from the beginning, which, for us, was a skills night.

We've never been a sports family. We've never watched a football game on the TV, or been to any of the stadiums, and the only reason we knew the name Casey Keller was because my husband went to school with him. Our son played soccer through the YMCA along with baseball, basketball, and any other kind of "ball" games they offered simply because he is very active and we just wanted to keep him busy! We never really thought of it as playing sports. We'd never even heard of Black Hills before we got the call from an ex-Y coach because they needed a few subs and thought of our son.
We really had no expectations when we went to that first try out (we didn't even know what a try out was) because we had no idea about anything besides rec soccer! This is now our 2nd year in Black Hills and we are still surprised and awed by the dedication that everyone seems to have to these kids and this sport!! Where do these people get the time? How do they remain so upbeat, positive and motivational? WHY?? We finally are figuring it out - they LOVE this sport - they LOVE this group. Truly LOVE it - there can be no other reason for the amount of time, patience, expense, and dedication that so many people give to our kids on a daily basis. We still don't really know the difference between a Forward and a Center, but we're a sports family now. We can't imagine our lives without Black Hills Football Club!______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I enrolled my son in Blackhills FC at the age of ten, and he is entering his 6th year with the club. He loves his team, in spite of some difficult years. The quality of soccer instruction and the developmental approach that emphasize mastering basic skills more than winning at the younger ages has helped my son's team reach the Premier 2 league this year. The parents and supporters have also helped the team purchase land and work toward a soccer complex that will be one of the best in the region. The coaches are good, too, and have made Blackhills the best soccer club between Tacoma and Vancouver.

My daughter just started playing with Blackhills--she is having fun and we've already seen an dramatic improvement in her skills and confidence. She loves the coaching and can't wait to go to practice. As parents, we value the feeling of community within the whole club.
